Canary Islands
 The Canary Islands are part of Spain but lie just off of the African coast. The seven islands that make up the archipelago consist of the five main holiday islands, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria,Tenerife and La Palma and the two tiny islands of El Hierro and La Gomera. These dramatic islands are thought to be the tips of a vast volcanic mountain range lying beneath the Atlantic Ocean. The sub-tropical climate is controlled by the Gulf Stream and the Trade Winds so that throughout the year there is almost guaranteed sunshine and little rainfall, making the islands a 12 month long villa holiday destination.
