Ibiza

Ibiza Villas
From the cosmopolitan Ibiza town where private yachts anchor in the marina, to the bustling coastal resorts, to the picturesque rural villages, Ibiza really is the island with it all. First made fashionable by the hippy generation of the 1960s, Ibiza's popularity has continued to grow, but not at the expense of the island’s traditions and natural beauty.

Whether you are a sun-worshipper or looking for somewhere for kids to make sandcastles, there are over fifty secluded coves and beaches skirting the coastline. Ibiza’s waters are amongst the cleanest in the Mediterranean, many of them are continually awarded the coveted EEC Blue Flags. The largest beach on Ibiza is Playa d'en Bossa which stretches for 2 kilometres and is great for families, as are Cala Llonga and the sheltered inlet at San Miguel. Watersports are operated on most beaches in all the resort areas as well.

Ibiza Town, San Antonio and Santa Eulalia have many trendy boutiques for designer labels and leather and you can also buy handmade clothes and jewellery at the infamous hippy markets of Es Cana and San Carlos. Additionally there are the usual souvenir shops and mini-markets selling holiday essentials over the island.

Ibiza has inspired many an artist in recent times and some of the results are on show in the Museum of Contemporary Art in Ibiza Town. However its rural past is not forgotten and is captured in the folk dances you can see performed across the island.
Hidden away in the village of Jesus, the Franciscan monastery boasts an altarpiece by Rodrigo de Osona which is possibly one of the Balearics greatest works of art.

So while fabulous resorts and family-friendly beaches buzz with excitement, Ibiza's unspoilt coves, traditional villages and colourful culture await your discovery.
