Teguise Villas

Teguise is a typical Canarian village and is one of the most important cultural and tourist centres on the island. This quaint and picturesque village is located in the centre of Lanzarote just ten kilometres from the coast. Its streets are lined with palaces, convents and squares which preserve the unmistakable flavour of the passage of the centuries and narrate a thousand and one stories. In the 1980´s Teguise was declared a combined architecturally historic-artistic centre as one of the oldest and most beautiful villages in the Canaries and is considered by both locals and visitors as a living museum. Examples of the local architecture can be seen in the beautifully restored palaces and stately homes such as the Spínola Palace.
