Vale do Lobo and Area
One of the most sought-after locations along the Algarve, renowned for its superb resorts, world-class sporting and leisure facilities, upscale dining and entertainment and the wonderful beach that stretches for miles, it has it all. Almancil is the main commercial town of the area, with all the banks and general stores you may need, here you'll find the superb Apollonia supermarket which carries an impressive range of food, groceries and wines. There's also a good range of restaurants with simple Portuguese cantinas sitting comfortably beside highly starred bistros. Vale do Lobo is perhaps the best known resort here with a wonderful choice of amenities, two golf courses, a tennis academy with pro coaching, there's a new spa and wellness centre within the Vale do Lobo Shopping centre which also has some fine boutiques and a wine merchant whilst down by the beach is the famous Praca, a dining and entertainment centre with a choice of restaurants, bars and cafes. Within Vale do Lobo we have a selection of villas with private pool, whilst our village houses are located conveniently close to the Praca and beach, most of these give free membership to Barrington's Country Club during your stay and features indoor and outdoor pools, tennis, squash, fitness classes and driving ranges as well as a bar and restaurant. Dunas Douradas is a smaller resort within walking distance of the beach and has a delightful communal area with a large Romanesque pool, tennis courts and fine restaurant, towards the sea is the latest phase, the Dunas Beach Club with a delightful restaurant looking towards the sea. Vale do Garrao is close by and has a number of quality private villas within reasonable walking distance of the beach, the Ria Hotel nearby provides excellent 5-star facilities. Quinta das Salinas and Verandahs do Lago are well located communities of large detached villas with private pools within a few minute's drive of the beach and several beach-side restaurants. Quinta do Lago is a huge resort area that contains several luxury resorts and a breathtaking selection of luxury detached villas amongst the 72 holes of world-class golf on offer. Beach access is via a long wooden bridge that straddles the waters of the nature reserve below, and there are fabulous views towards the open sea. Once on the beach there's a superb restaurant open daily with a wonderful choice of fresh fish. There are some grocery shopping and restaurant facilities within Quinta however most people head for the Quinta Shopping Plaza and Bouganvillea Plaza which offer a wide choice of classy boutiques as well as bustling restaurants and cafes. Just to the north of Quinta and within a very short drive of the plazas is Quinta Verde, an exclusive community of luxury villas, each with private pool.
Dunas Douradas
Dunas Douradas is a highly regarded Algarve holiday resort, set in a delightful wooded valley leading down to the sea with the beautiful beach less than 1km away. At the heart of Dunas Douradas is a communal area with an elegant Romanesque swimming pool with separate children's pool, spacious sun terrace complete with loungers and a pool-side snack bar. With the mini-market selling a selection of essentials and the fine Xenia Restaurant open in the evenings there's almost all you need on the doorstep. There are also tennis courts and pro coaching is available but please book in advance. From the centre of Dunas, it's a 10 minute walk to the beach where there are 2 restaurants, Maria's in an enticing spot right on the beach and a new restaurant in the Dunas Beach Club. Dunas Douradas is located right on the eastern side of Vale do Lobo, so there's easy access to the facilities at the beachside Praca, the golf club, Barringtons and in Tennis Valley where there's a Chinese restaurant within walking distance. Fazenda Santiago
Fazenda Santiago is a delightful setting within a pretty pine forest a kilometre or so inland from Vale do Lobo. Our villas are located in a private community with remote control gates for access. Guests have use of the tennis and fitness gym within the grounds. Vale do Lobo is just a couple of minutes away by car and is perhaps, the best known Algarve holiday resort within the Golden Triangle and justifiably so. With fabulous golf, sport and leisure facilities, a well-stocked supermarket, the sporting and leisure facilities of Barrington’s Country Club (you can join for a weekly or daily fee), the restaurants, bars and cafes of the Praca overlooking the fantastic golden beach with ample space for all - it's all here. Quinta das Salinas
Quinta das Salinas is a small community of good quality detached villas with private pools, a quiet and peaceful spot centrally located between Vale do Lobo, Quinta de Lago and the sea with all the facilities you could need within a few minutes drive. There's a wide choice of sporting and leisure facilities with world-class golf, tennis and racquet sports, riding, watersports and of course the fabulous sandy beach which stretches for miles. With an excellent choice of restaurants you shouldn't be short of inspiration, simple beach-side grills, typical Algarve restaurants and stylish bistros abound and the quality is usually good. Night-life and entertaining with a number of bars and cafes, Vale do Lobo's Praca and Quinta Shopping are popular with families with their bustling squares and choiuce of facilities, there are also a number of clubs with music until the early hours. Quinta do Lago
One of the finest Algarve holiday resorts along the coast, Quinta do Lago offers a host of attractions to make your Algarve holiday enjoyable.
