This beautifully restored Menorcan finca with private pool is in a delightful rural location. Despite its tranquil setting, Casa Dolca is only a few minutes drive from several charming villages whilst the town of Sant Climent and the beautiful beaches of the south coast between Cala en Porter and Binibeca are only a fifteen minute drive away.
InteriorBright and spacious, this single storey villa has been decorated to a high standard. Light furnishings, high sloping ceilings and traditional Menorcan terracotta tiles throughout give a feeling of modern sophistication and comfort to a rural villa. The living room is stylishly furnished and has a wall of patio doors leading out to the garden and swimming pool. The seating area opens into a dining area for four. This room is fitted with air conditioning. The adjacent, modern and fully fitted kitchen has a breakfast table with seating for six and an open window looking into the living room and to the pool beyond and an original, stone feature wall at the other. Casa Dolca has four attractive bedrooms. Two bedrooms have double beds, double patio doors leading out onto the terrace, built-in wardrobes and en suite shower rooms. The other two have twin beds; one has an en suite bathroom and the other has an en suite shower room. The villa has central heating throughout.
ExteriorAl fresco dining can be enjoyed at the teak patio table outside the living room, which seats six and which can be placed either in the shade or sun. A small flight of steps leads from this peaceful and secluded area up to the private 9 x 4.5m swimming pool, which is entered by roman steps. The large, surrounding sunbathing terrace has a poolside shower, a barbecue, sunbeds and a parasol and is edged wtih borders planted with shrubs and trees make this a pleasant and relaxing area in which to soak up the Menorca sun.
AmenitiesCasa Dolca is situated in between the village of Sant Climent and the larger town of Alaior, both being within a ten minute drive. Alaior is a charming town with narrow winding streets and whitewashed houses. A central square known as the Moon Courtyard (Sa Lluna) is the venue for concerts and folk dancing during the summer months. Both Alaior and Sant Climent have banks, supermarkets, local restaurants and bars. The villa lies slightly inland of the south coast of Menorca approximately 6km away from the beach resort of Cala en Porter and 15km from Binebeca. The busy resort centre of Cala en Porter, along with the local amenities, sits proudly on the high cliffs overlooking the bay and beach area. A further selection of bars and restaurants can be found at beach level. Steep steps lead down to the beach but there is ample parking for those with cars and a handy mini train runs regularly throughout the day. Set on the edge of the sea with a maze of narrow streets and tiny squares, Binebeca has developed into one of the most complete and popular resorts on the island. To one end of the resort is the old fishing village with its multitude of bars and restaurants and shops while at the other can be found Cala Torret, another attractive development with all amenities. Separating the two is the lovely family beach of Binebeca with its gently shelving sands offering safe bathing for all.
