This beautiful, rural property is located in the peaceful village of Naxxar. Within the village are a small selection of traditional cafes and restaurants and it is only a fifteen minute drive away from St Julians Bay and a twenty minute drive to Mellieha.

Interior

This charming, two-storey farmhouse is delightfully decorated throughout in a traditional, rustic style. A large entrance hall leads through to the spacious living room, which has a feature fireplace, a dining area and patio doors leading to the terrace. The separate kitchen has a country feel, with its pine cupboards and breakfast table. Also on this floor are two of Dar il Kabira’s four bedrooms. One of the bedrooms has a double bed and an en-suite shower room and the other has twin beds and access to a cloakroom. On the first floor are the two remaining bedrooms. One of the rooms has a double bed and en-suite bathroom and patio doors opening onto a Juliette balcony. The fourth bedroom has twin beds and an en-suite bathroom.

Exterior

Dar il Kabira is surrounded by beautiful sub-tropical gardens, providing a peaceful, serene setting for a relaxing villa holiday. Patio doors from the living room lead to the large terrace which surrounds the 10.5 x 5 metre swimming pool, entered via ladder steps. A shaded courtyard with a picnic table provides the perfect spot to enjoy a cool drink, whilst taking a welcome break from the warm sun. Stairs at the side of the house and also from the first floor lead up to a large roof terrace, which offers magnificent rural views with the sea in the distance.

Amenities

Dar il Kabira is in the pretty villageof Naxxar, which has a variety of amenities, including local shops, bars and restaurants. It is a short drive to the picturesque area of St Julian’s, which has a sandy beach in St. Georges Bay with a selection of boats anchored in the bay and water sport facilities available. This area also has a modern shopping centre, a cinema complex and a bowling alley. The promenade, which runs from Gzira to St Julian’s, has a variety of bars and restaurants. There are plenty of seats along the promenade and on summer evenings the seafront becomes a sociable meeting place for locals. The Splash and Fun water park, which is open every day of the week, is only a fifteen minute drive. The resort of Mellieha, which boasts the longest beach on Malta is ideal for families with small children, because of its clean, shallow water and it is only a twenty minute drive from the villa.
