Standing majestically within its thirty-six acre grounds, this ancient ‘Palazzo’ has been luxuriously renovated throughout to the highest possible standards. Located in an elevated position, Palazzo Rocio offers the most magnificent views over St. Georges Bay and it is within a five minute drive to the nearest beach and local amenities.

Interior

This Colonial-style property has been furnished to the highest standards throughout; its extremely high ceilings and Roman columns are remarkable. The grand entrance leads through to the marvellous, open-plan living room with a formal dining area, a bar and a study area. There are several sets of patio doors in the living room, one leads to a private, covered terrace at the side of the house and the other leads to a large covered terrace, which is also accessed via the kitchen. The contemporary kitchen is fully equipped with ultra modern appliances and has a breakfast table. Palazzo Rocio has six beautiful bedrooms. The fabulous master suite is located on the first floor. It has a king size bed, an en-suite bathroom and doors leading to a balcony, which overlooks the beautiful gardens. The five remaining bedrooms are on the lower ground floor, each bedroom has twin beds and an en-suite shower room. The house can accommodate up to twelve adults in the existing bedrooms and it is possible to add an extra single bed in three of the bedrooms, allowing a full occupancy of up to fifteen adults.

Exterior

The exterior of this property is unbeatable. The grounds are very private and the views are breathtaking. Beautifully maintained sub-tropical gardens surround the house; several pathways offer the chance to take a romantic walk around the grounds and there is a basketball court for guests use. The impressive, circular swimming pool measures 11.7 metres in diameter and is surrounded by luxurious sun loungers. Patio doors from the kitchen and living room lead out to a beautifully furnished dining terrace, which also has a relaxing sofa area, perfect for watching a sun set with a nicely chilled glass of champagne.

Amenities

Palazzo Rocio is located in the picturesque area of St Julian’s, with fabulous views across St Georges Bay, which has a sandy beach with a selection of boats anchored in the bay and water sport facilities available. St. Georges Bay also has a modern shopping centre, a cinema complex and a bowling alley. Spinola Palace, built by an Italian knight, is the landmark historic building on the bay. Another fine building with superb sea views is Villa Dragonara,which is now a casino. The promenade, which runs from Gzira to St Julian’s, has a variety of bars and restaurants. There are plenty of seats along the promenade and on summer evenings the seafront becomes a sociable meeting place for locals. The nearby resort of Paceville has become a vibrant, bustling centre and it is Malta’s main nightlife centre, where there are clubs, casinos and numerous restaurants, cafes and bars.
