This charming, Canarian country villa offers guests peace and tranquillity for a relaxing holiday in the warm climate. It is located in a rural location within the small village of El Mojon. The villa has recently been renovated to a very high standard in a traditional style. It is a perfect property for people seeking a holiday in authentic surroundings with modern facilities.
InteriorThis excellent property offers a complete home from home experience. The spacious living room has comfortable sofas and patio doors leading to a large conservatory with pretty views of the garden area and surrounding mountains. In the centre of the villa is a formal dining suite and the beautiful, separate bespoke kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances and utensils. Villa Max has three attractively furnished bedrooms. The master suite has a double bed, an en-suite bathroom with Jacuzzi bath and patio doors which open out to the pool area. The second bedroom has twin beds and access to a separate shower room. The remaining bedroom is in an annex which is accessed via the pool area and has a double bed, and an en-suite shower room.
ExteriorPatio doors from the formal dining suite, kitchen and both double bedrooms lead out to the peaceful sunbathing terrace, surrounding the 7 x 3.5 metre electrically heated swimming pool, which is entered via integral steps. A wooden pergola provides welcome shade from the warm, Canarian sun and patio dining furniture offers the perfect place to enjoy a jug of Sangria. There is also a pool bar with fridge, excellent for al-fresco entertaining. From the conservatory it is possible to walk around the lovingly maintained, mature gardens and pick fresh herbs and fruits, whilst taking in the fabulous sea and mountain views.
AmenitiesThe villa is a ten minute drive to the popular resort of Costa Teguise, which is becoming increasingly popular with visitors to Lanzarote and has a very wide selection of restaurants and nightlife. There are four beaches in Costa Teguise, all of which have beautiful golden sand. A coastal promenade links all the beaches with a variety of bars, shops and restaurants. The resort is popular with sports people who visit for the world class windsurfing conditions. There are also several scuba diving schools in Costa Teguise and it is home to the islands first golf course. For younger guests Costa Teguise has a very popular water park. A five minute drive from the villa takes you into the centre of Teguise, a very quiet and serene small town. It was once the capital of the island until 1852 but now is a residential haven for locals wishing to be removed from the bustle of tourism. It does come to life in a big way once a week for the islands Sunday market when it attracts people from far and wide for a few hours. Otherwise it is a delightful, quiet place with a village feel, some interesting sights, a few good quality shops and some very good restaurants and bars. It is only a ten minute drive from Teguise to the un-spoilt village of Famara on the North West coast of the island. The large sweeping beach of Famara nestles under the cliffs of Los Riscos and is famous for surfing, boogie boarding and kite-surfing. It is also known as a naturist beach. The village itself is very small with a handful of local bars and simple fish restaurants.
ServicesFor guests staying longer than seven nights there is a weekly maid service, including a towel and linen change.
