This attractive, renovated farmhouse has been modernised, whilst retaining many of it’s original and traditional Gozitan features. It provides charming, holiday accommodation in an excellent location, in an alleyway, on the edge of the delightful village of Xewkija. It is just 15 minute walk from Victoria, the capital of the island, 5 kilometres from the nearest beach and within easy driving distance of Mgarr Harbour.

Interior

This beautifully renovated, two storey property is built with traditional, honey coloured limestone walls, high ceilings and attractive, archways adding to its charm. It has a well furnished, open plan living room and a large combined kitchen and dining room, which provides everything necessary for a self catering holiday. Patio doors lead out to the terrace and swimming pool. Farmhouse Joanna has four bedrooms, each with en-suite bathrooms and ceiling fans . Two bedrooms have double beds, one has twin beds and one a single bed. They are all located on the first floor and are also accessible by an external staircase from the terrace. There is a guest cloakroom on the ground floor.

Exterior

A delightful, secluded courtyard provides a sheltered venue in which to relax in the long hours of warm, summer sun. Sunbeds and an al fresco dining area together with a barbecue surround the lovely 5.5 x 4.5 metre swimming pool accessed by roman steps and has an adjacent pool side shower. A first floor, external terrace has stone steps down to the courtyard.

Amenities

This townhouse is situated within the traditional village of Xewkija, just 500 metres from the centre. It is a 10 minute walk to the nearest mini market and there a couple of small, local bars within a 5 minute drive. Both the capital of Victoria and the picturesque fishing village of Mgarr are a 10 minute drive away and provide the nearest restaurants.
