Villa Filomena is a fabulous villa that is contemporary, stylish and yet still very comfortable and a joy to stay in. The villa itself is wonderful, well equipped, superbly furnished and, when you consider the stunning location it enjoys, you can understand why one has to book early for the best dates. Tear yourself away from the poolside and those stunning views and there is a wealth of facilities on your doorstep in Vale do Lobo including beachside dining and entertainment, shopping, health and beauty spa, tennis and golf all - at extra cost of course, but the miles of golden sandy beach with the stunning backdrop of distinctive red cliffs are yours to enjoy for free.For larger families and groups, Villa Fernanda Id 1771 is nearby.

Interior

The entrance into the villa is via an elegant hallway with the beautiful living and dining room, comfortably and stylishly furnished with flat screen TV, stereo and fireplace. Several sliding doors give stunning views down to the sea and open out to a shaded, outdoor lounge with a low retaining glass screen so you don't lose a bit of the view. The kitchen is sleek and modern and well equipped with a breakfast bar and all you need for a self catering holiday.A sweeping staircase to the upper floor where there is a master suite; the bedroom has a king-size bed, seating area with TV and doors to the huge upper terrace and more wonderful views. The contemporary bathroom has a shower stall and a freestanding bath right in front of the patio doors, so you can still enjoy the views whilst you relax in the tub. Also on this floor is a double bedroom with doors to a balcony and en suite shower room with a unique double shower stall. The remaining bedrooms are on the ground floor. There is a bedroom with twin four-poster beds and a twin bedroom with doors to the pool terrace. These rooms share the family bathroom.
From the hallway there are steps down to the basement which houses the equipped laundry and a games room complete with table tennis and a full size pool table. There is also a further twin bedroom on this floor with an en-suite shower room.

Exterior

Doors from the living room and one of the bedrooms lead out to the shaded al fresco lounge with rattan furniture, enclosed by a glass screen rather than a wall to enhance the views whilst you're relaxing. Steps lead down to the extensive sun terrace, furnished with quality loungers, and the swimming pool, accessed by steps in the shallow end. Beside the pool is an outdoor dining area with built-in barbecue.

Amenities

Villa Filomena is situated in a small development within Vale do Lobo called Encosta do Lobo. Although it is a little removed from the main resort area, it is still within easy walking distance of many of the excellent facilities Vale do Lobo has to offer. The resort of Vale do Lobo is situated on spectacular coastline and set in a glorious pine forest with two superb 18-hole golf courses, the Ocean and the Royal with the clubhouse also within a short walk of the townhouses. The Tennis Academy in the resort has first class facilities and offers tennis lessons for all levels. Vale do Lobo has fantastic beach bars and cafes, offering traditional and international cuisine. The fantastic golden sand beach is backed by red sandstone cliffs and washed by the aquamarine waters of the Atlantic Ocean every day. Less than a ten minute drive away is the exclusive shopping and dining in Quinta do Lago with its sophisticated atmosphere. Also within a 10 minute drive is the horse riding centre and a Go-Kart track.
For traditional water sports head into Quinta do Lago for wind surfing, jet skis, pedaloes and sailing on both the lake and the lagoon. A fifteen minute drive takes you to the resort of Vilamoura and its bustling marina and a variety of marine excursions, including big game fishing, charter yachts and dolphin spotting. Vilamoura is best known for its golf courses of which there are five. This area also has a number of water parks with the nearest one being at Vilasol and several others can be found on the N 125 heading west. A twenty-five minute drive west takes you to the small town of Guia, famous for its authentic chicken piri-piri and seafood restaurants as well as some nearby fantastic sandy cove beaches. The Zoo-Marine theme park near Armacao da Pera has a number of family friendly rides, sea-life shows and there is the opportunity to swim with the dolphins.

Services

Maid service is provided four times a week with a mid week towel change.A damage and telephone deposit will be required on arrival; this is taken by blank credit card slip. The villa will be checked and the damage deposit returned by mail during the week following your departure. The villa benefits from WiFi internet access and a telephone for incoming calls. There is air conditioning throughout which is included from 23rd May-3rd Oct inclusive in the price. The swimming pool can be heated at an extra cost, please contact Premier Holidays to book in advance of your arrival.

Car Requirements

Villa Filomena is very well located and not far from many of the amenities in Vale do Lobo however, we recommend the use of a hire car for convenience and comfort.
