This very attractive villa, with a private pool, is located in private, secluded grounds. It is in a sought after community and offers a high standard of holiday accommodation. Located in an attractive, residential area of Quinta da Luz in the Montinhos da Luz area, Villa Karissa is only a twenty minute walk to a small, sandy beach and a five minutes walk to a local restaurant. The added benefits of this location are a communal swimming pool and an on-site restaurant. The main beach, a tennis centre, a health spa and the shops at Praia da Luz are just two kilometres from the property. This is a lovely, spacious, family villa, ideal for a relaxing, Algarve holiday. For larger families or groups wanting to holiday together, Villa Ksenia id 1562 is nearby.
InteriorThis excellent villa has been very well-furnished and is light and airy. From the hallway a step leads down to the large, open-plan living room which has air conditioning, a fireplace and is furnished with stylish leather sofas and chairs. It has a dining table with built in seating and two sets of patio doors leading to the terrace, garden and pool. There is a compact, fully furnished kitchen, which is well-equipped for a self-catering holiday. Villa Karissa has three bedrooms with air conditioning which also act as heating units in cooler months. The master bedroom has a double bed, an en-suite bathroom and patio doors to the side terrace. Two further bedrooms have twin beds, en-suite shower rooms and patio doors to the terrace, garden and pool.
ExteriorSeveral sliding doors lead from the villa out to the pretty garden and pool area. Patio furniture under the covered terrace provides the perfect place for al fresco dining on warm holiday evenings. A sun terrace surrounds the attractive, large 8x4 metre, kidney shaped swimming pool which is solar heated. This is accessed by integral steps and has a pool-side shower. Steps from the terrace lead to a roof terrace which has lovely views to the sea.
AmenitiesSituated in the Quinta da Luz residential area of Praia da Luz, Villa Karissa is an ideal position. You can walk along the cliffs to the nearest small sandy beach which takes approximately 20 minutes and a further 5 to 10 minutes to reach the main beach at Luz or by car it is approximately 2km. This beautiful Blue Flag beach of Praia da Luz is a sheltered bay of fine golden sand with a selection of restaurants, cafes and shops situated along the beachfront promenade. It offers a number of activities including sailing, wind surfing, water skiing, kayaking and wake boarding. The Tennis centre and health spa is also just 2km away. Luz is one of the most attractive holiday destinations for villas with pool holidays on the Algarve. It is located in the western Algarve away from the main centres; an area that is generally more peaceful although the new road has made access from Faro a whole lot easier. Blessed with a superb beach which has an exclusive range of water sports, Luz town centre has all you need for a holiday on the Algarve, with a bank that is open daily, post office, shops restaurants and bars. The Ocean Club in Luz is home to the Jonathan Markson Algarve Tennis Centre. There are five championship tennis courts, two with floodlights and a further 4 courts nearby if required. It is suggested that you book in advance. For golfers, the Boavista Golf course is a short drive away and also nearby are Palmares and Parque da Floresta Golf courses. The small unspoilt, fishing village of Burgau and beach is just 4km away, nestled on the edge of the national park.
The historic town of Lagos is a short drive away and has an extensive range of shops, restaurants and bars and in the old town there are many historical sites and intricate architecture. There are more superb beaches and spectacular coastline along with a marina which offers boat excursions, such as the Grotto Tour with local fisherman giving a guided tour of the caves, cliffs and coves that surround the area.
