Villa Pioma is an excellent choice for a relaxing villa holiday in the sought after area of Quinta dos Alamos. The nearby, charming, village of Guia has traditional restaurants, bars and cafes in a typical Algarve setting. Some of the areas best known attractions and activities, including Zoomarine Park, are only a short drive away and Albuferia with its beautiful beach and superb amenities is a twenty minute drive.Villa Pioma also benefits from having a gated private pool as added security for smaller children.
InteriorThis spacious villa is traditionally furnished throughout, with many of its original features. Steps lead down fro the hallway to the open plan living room and dining area, with patio doors leading to the terrace and the separate kitchen is modern and well equipped. Three of Villa Pioma’s four attractive bedrooms are located on the ground floor. There is a twin bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and two other twin bedrooms which share a bathroom. The master bedroom is located on the first floor; it has a double bed, en-suite bathroom and access to a private balcony.Villa Pioma will accommodate 8 people in the existing bedrooms and a further child under 12 on a fold-a-way bed.
ExteriorPatio doors from the dining area lead to a shaded terrace with patio dining furniture and a barbecue, offering the prefect setting for al fresco dining in the warm climate. The upper terrace is surrounded by well maintained lawns and sub-tropical plants and cacti. A few steps lead down to the large sunbathing terrace, surrounding the 10 x 5 metre swimming pool, which is entered via Roman steps.
AmenitiesVilla Pioma is located within the desirable development of Qunita dos Alamos located on the outskirts of the typical small town of Guia which is a lovely place for an Algarve holiday. Here you can relax and enjoy your private pool or explore the local area and the fantastic beaches by day, then walk to a selection of restaurants in the evening. Our villas are in the Quinta dos Alamos community which is just one kilometre from the town centre and its famous Algarvian restaurants, one of which is where the Portuguese dish of chicken piri piri was created. There are also superb seafood and grill restaurants, plus an authentic local bar in the square. Although it's 6 kilometres from the coast you have a fantastic selection of beautiful sandy coves within a 10 minute drive, all have beautiful golden sand and impressive rock formations, sculpted by the sea with rock stacks, caves and rock pools. Gale beach is the closest and has two restaurants that look out over the sands so that parents can watch their children play on the beach between courses. Evaristo is a beautiful cove with an impressive and stylish fish restaurant and the coves at Coelho and Sao Raphael are also well worth a visit. Just to the west of Gale is Salgados beach, which has a vast stretch of sand and an impressive golf course to the rear. Elsewhere, golf courses are plentiful, with the five celebrated courses at Vilamoura within easy reach by car and over ten courses within a half hour's drive. To the east of Guia is the famous resort of Albufeira, once a pretty fishing village, it is now a large resort taking advantage of the impressive beaches along its stretch of coastline. Although it can get very busy there is excellent shopping, bustling squares, markets and a few very good restaurants, some perched on the cliff tops with fantastic views over the beach and sea. Within a few kilometres from our villas in Guia is the Algarve Shopping Mall, with a huge choice of shops, a food court, supermarket and multi-screen cinema, where movies are shown in their original language - mostly English. Across the main road there's a branch of Makro, take your membership card if you have one, for access to the superstore. Zoomarine Aquatic Park is a theme park with rides and various attractions with an aquatic theme. There's also a dolphin interaction programme where you can swim with the dolphins - this needs to be pre-booked. Several water parks are also within easy reach for a day of thrilling slides and fun.
ServicesThere is a maid service three days a week with a mid week towel change. For guests staying longer there is also a weekly linen change.
Car RequirementsAlthough guests can walk to bars, restaurants and local shops in Guia we still feel that a car is essential in order to explore this beautiful area of the Algarve.
