Located in the sought after Clube Carvoeiro community Villa Pato Prieto is within easy walking distance of the shops, restaurants and bars in Monte Carvoeiro. It is 2 kilometres to the village of Carvoeiro, with its sandy cove, blue waters and beach cafes. The beautiful Praia Grande beach at Ferragudo and the popular Splash and Slide Water Park at Lagoa are only a ten minute drive from the villa. The famous Gramacho Pestana Golf Resort offers world class facilities and is located just three kilometres from the villa.

Interior

This single-storey villa has been very well-furnished and provides very, attractive, accommodation for an Algarve, villa holiday. It is suffused with light, from the courtyard and several patio doors, leading to attractive terraces. The large living room has a fireplace and a formal dining area. Both rooms have doors leading to a covered, dining terrace and look into the attractive, glassed-in, central courtyard on one side. The kitchen has been decorated with beautiful, traditional, Portuguese tiles and is well-equipped for a self-catering holiday. Villa Pato Prieto has three bedrooms. One has twin beds placed together and an en-suite bathroom, with attractive, modern, Portuguese tiles. There are two further bedrooms with twin beds and they share a separate bathroom.

Exterior

A gate from the courtyard leads to the swimming pool which measures 8 x 6 metres, is accessed by ladder steps and has a diving board. It is overlooked by a sunbathing terrace, with walls on three sides, creating a sheltered and very private suntrap. Adjacent to this is a beautiful, lawned garden, with mature trees, creating welcome shade from the warm Algarve sun. The patio doors in the living room lead out to a covered terrace, which overlooks the garden. This is an idyllic venue for hours of relaxing, al fresco dining. There is also a roof terrace, with views over the countryside towards the sea.

Amenities

This villa is well positioned in the popular resort of Carvoeiro Clube, with its fabulous tennis facilities. The surrounding countryside is a beautiful area of citrus groves and vineyards. It is ideally located for exploring the beautiful Algarve and it is only a twenty minute walk downhill to the cosmopolitan, village of Carvoeiro with a picturesque cove beach, bars and restaurants, offering traditional and international cuisine is a short drive away. Carvoeiro is particularly well known for its beaches, the rocky coastline has been eroded over time into a series of stunning sandy coves, breathtakingly beautiful but please access with care and sensible footwear. Many of the beaches also have snack bars for a drink or light lunch. Over to the west, where the calm waters of the River Arade meet the sea and separate Carvoeiro from Portimao is Ferragudo. Ferragudo is about 4km from Carvoeiro centre and one of the typical fishing villages in the Algarve which still retains its orginal charm. Here you will find one of the best beaches in the area, Praia Grande, with a couple of beach bars that overlook Portimao. This bustling town has a marina with a variety of excursions, including boat rentals, scuba-diving, jet-skiing, dolphin and whale spotting. There are tennis centres in Clube Carvoeiro and Rocha Brava and a riding centre and watersports at Ferragudo to the west. Waterparks are popular in the Algarve with the nearest being Slide and Splash, a smaller park between Lagoa and the Country Club. Several other parks are along the EN 125 heading towards Faro. Also worth a visit is the Zoo-Marine park with rides, animal shows and the opportunity to swim with dolphins, located just west of Guia on the EN 125. There are several boat trips available in the Carvoeiro area, exploring the fantastic coastline and stopping at exotic beaches. Perhaps the most memorable day out and under sail is aboard Santa Bernada - a replica caravelle, which departs from the old sardine pier in Portimao on weekdays.

There is a mid week towel change and for guests staying longer than one week there is a weekly maid service with linen change. The swimming pool can be heated at an extra cost, please contact Premier Holidays for cost which is paid locally. A telephone is available for use and will be charged locally. For guests arriving after 10 p.m. there is a €25 charge to be paid locally.
