For those wishing to relax and unwind amidst the olive groves and cypress forests of the Cretan countryside whilst being within easy access of the beaches, nightlife and other attractions this fascinating region of Crete has to offer, Vanora Villas is an ideal holiday villa choice. Crafted from local stone and wood and furnished with locally produced furniture, these three delightful villas combine the charm of rustic Crete with the convenience of modern living.

Interior

These traditionally styled villas have been carefully crafted from Cretan stone and woods such as oak and cypress, and furnished using local, handmade furniture, to combine the feel of centuries old, rural Crete with the modern day world. The cosy living rooms feature open fireplaces and flatscreen televisions and are divided from the dining areas and kitchens by stone archways. The kitchens are fully equipped with everything necessary for a self-catering villa holiday. Also on the ground floor of two of the villas are guest shower rooms with toilet. Wooden staircases lead up to the first floor, where each villa has two air conditioned bedrooms sharing full family bathrooms with double Jacuzzi. The master bedrooms have double beds. The second bedrooms have twin beds. There are large terraces with spectacular views across the cypress woods and olive groves that surround these beautiful villas leading from the first floor, the ideal spot from which to watch the sunset with a glass of the local wine. The villas are air conditioned throughout and have Wifi internet access.

Exterior

Each villa is independent and secluded and has its own swimming pool and sunbathing terraces landscaped with trees and shrubs. Covered dining terraces lead from the kitchen and interior dining areas and offer cool respite from the heat of the Cretan sun when dining al fresco. Each villa has a private 8 x 4m swimming pool, accessed by integral steps and with disabled access. There are outdoor showers. Guests are welcome to relax and enjoy a meal prepared on the built-in barbecue. Each villa has on-site parking.

Amenities

The villas are located only 1km from the charming village of Prines and 2.5km from the village of Atsipopoulo where amenities such as a supermarket with free delivery service, cafes, restaurants etc can be found. The historic town of Rethymno, with its Venetian port, old town and beachfront nightlife is only 6km away and offers a livelier venue for those wishing to combine the tranquillity of the Cretan countryside with a more cosmopolitan, vibrant atmosphere. This area of Crete offers miles of golden beaches – with all of the watersports and activities to be expected at a resort destination – and a rural, mountainous interior which is ideal for those wishing to explore virtually untouched countryside on foot, by bike or on horseback.
