Located in the tranquillity of the Cretan countryside, and yet within easy reach of local amenities and the many attractions this beautiful area of Crete has to offer, Villa Eustis is a delightful spot in which to relax with family and friends. Guests can choose to take life at whatever pace they choose – relax by the private pool and sample the excellent local cuisine and hospitality at one of the local tavernas, head for the nightlife of Rethymno nearby or enjoy an adventure-packed holiday in the nearby mountains or on the azure seas that surround this fascinating island.

Interior

Villa Eustis is decorated in a bright, contemporary style and offers comfortable accommodation for family groups and parties. On the ground floor there are two seating areas, one with an open fireplace and flatscreen television. The second seating area opens onto the dining area and two sets of patio doors lead out onto the terraces. There is a fully-equipped kitchen with breakfast table and patio doors onto a covered terrace. There is a guest shower room on this floor. A marble staircase leads up to the first floor, where there are three bedrooms, all with feature vaulted wooden ceilings and air conditioning. The master bedroom has a double bed, a television and patio doors leading out onto the large roof terrace which enjoys spectacular views across olive groves and fruit trees to the sea. There is a second bedroom with double bed with patio doors onto the terrace. The third bedroom has twin beds and patio doors leading onto a private balcony. The bedrooms share one full bathroom. The villa has wifi connection and is centrally heated making this an ideal holiday villa destination all year round.

Exterior

The exterior areas of the villa are landscaped in local stone and are laid to lawn creating a rustic, traditional feel which contrasts with the contemporary style of the villa. There is an illuminated, private, 9 x 4m rectangular pool, which is accessed by integral and roman steps and which is surrounded by a partially walled sunbathing terrace. There is an outdoor shower. The terraces are amply furnished with sunloungers and patio dining furniture. Guests can choose whether to relax with a glass of local wine in the shade of one of the two covered terraces around the villa, or to enjoy a meal prepared on the built-in barbecue on the dining terrace with wooden canopy which is gated from the pool area. The villa has a large private parking area and a double garage.

Amenities

The villa is situated in the village of Agios Dimitros and is only 300m from the village of Pigi, meaning that the villa is well served by local amenities such as mini-market, pharmacy, restaurants and cafes, all within walking distance. Golden beaches lined with hotels and all the facilities expected of a beach resort, including bars, restaurants and watersports, are only 2km away. Agios Dimitros is only 10km from the port town of Rethymno, with its charming historic Venetian port, beaches and bustling nightlife for those seeking a livelier evening’s entertainment. There are many activities for the more active guest to try, including mountaineering, cycling, sailing, tennis, mountain biking and deep-sea fishing. This area is an ideal base from which to explore the many attractions that Crete has to offer and has easy access to the main highway which serves as a hub for the north of this fascinating island.
