This superb, new villa with a private tennis court and a beautiful, heated swimming pool with waterfall is an idyllic location for a memorable holiday in the sun. It is located in the charming village of Lajares, just a few minutes drive to fabulous beaches and into the resort of Corralejo.

Interior

This beautiful, modern villa is stylishly decorated and is very light and airy with patio doors leading to the pool from all the ground floor rooms. The spacious living room has attractive leather sofas, a feature fireplace and leads to a large open plan dining room. The independent, modern kitchen is very well equipped and has patio doors to the outdoor dining area. A second fridge for drinks and the washing machine are in the adjacent garage. The villa has four bedrooms. The lovely master suite has a large four poster bed with fabric tenting, doors to the pool and a luxurious en-suite bathroom with a huge, Canarian style, walk-in shower. On this ground floor level there are two very pretty bedrooms with twin beds and patio doors. They share a large bathroom which has access to the pool area and can be used instead of going through the house for people outside. Stairs in the living room lead to the roof terrace and the fourth bedroom which has a double bed, en-suite shower room and a small balcony overlooking the swimming pool. All the bedrooms have built-in wardrobes and remote controlled electric fans and all the bathroom showers are thermostatically controlled. Although there are four bedrooms, this villa accepts parties of up to six adults and two under 12 year olds.

Exterior

This villa is unique as it has a private tennis court which is very rare in the Canary Islands. The owners have provided good quality rackets for clients use against a deposit taken locally. Overlooking the court is an area shaded by a large wooden pergola where you can watch the tennis while swinging in a hammock and enjoying the beautiful, tranquil country and mountain views. The lovely 10 x 3.5 metre heated swimming pool with Roman steps, has an attractive waterfall cascading into it and is surrounded by a sunbathing terrace. All the patio doors from the villa lead onto a very large, shaded veranda, which run the length of the house and provides a great deal of shade. This includes a dining table, chairs and a barbecue for long hours of al fresco dining in the balmy Fuerteventura climate. The roof terrace has sun beds for private sunbathing and lovely views.

Amenities

Lajares is a traditional Canarian village just 10 minutes drive from the fantastic dune beaches at Corralejo and the same distance to the fantastic, unspoilt surfing beaches at El Cotillo. Within the village of Lajares there is a small selection of local shops and a handful of restaurants and bars. As well restaurants specialising in typical Canarian food, there is also a fantastic Argentine grill, another restaurant specialising in vegetarian cuisine and a pizza parlour. Lajares is perfect for clients wanting a peaceful holiday but where amenities of a resort and fantastic beaches are only a short drive away. Corralejo is the main resort in the North of Fuerteventura and has an excellent selection of shops, bars and restaurants. It is also the location of the world famous dune beaches which, as well as being stunning places to bathe, are also very popular with windsurfers and kitesurfers. The island’s only golf course is a 30 minute drive away in Caleta de Fuste. The transfer time from the airport is approximately 30 minutes.

Services

There is a weekly maid service and a midweek towel change. A breakage deposit of €100 is payable locally. There is a small charge for the use of the tennis equipment.
