This attractive, new villa has been designed in traditional style, using the beautiful limestone of the island. It is situated in the charming village of Xaghra and is only five minutes’ drive to the beach at Ramla Bay. There are several good restaurants set around the lovely village square, overlooking the splendid church.

Interior

This attractive, single storey farmhouse has been decorated to a very good standard with pine furniture and the rooms all have high, wooden beamed ceilings and ceramic, tiled floors. The comfortable living room has a dining area, an archway to the kitchen and patio doors leading out to the pool terrace. Dar Calypso has three well appointed bedrooms. The master bedroom has a double bed and an en-suite shower room. There are two bedrooms with twin beds, one has an en-suite shower room and there is a further full bathroom. All the bedrooms have air conditioning and portable heaters which are included in the price.

Exterior

The doors from the living room lead to the very private, secluded sun terrace and a kidney shaped 7x4.5 metre swimming pool which is entered by integral steps. The terrace has outdoor dining furniture, sun beds and a gas barbecue making it an idyllic place in which to relax and experience al fresco living in this warm climate. The property can also be accessed by a side gate which leads to the pool area and makes the villa ideal for wheelchair access.

Amenities

This house is located within the picturesque village of Xaghra. It is a 10minute walk to the nearest village shop and a 25 minute walk will take you to the pretty tree lined square where you find a couple of local restaurants and bars. The nearest beach can be found at Ramla which is a 5 minute drive away.

Services

For guests staying longer than seven nights there is a weekly maid service.

Car Requirements

It is essential to hire a car on this fascinating island. The roads are good and every kilometre brings a new and interesting surprise. We can supply a good selection of rental cars or jeeps.
