This lovely rustic townhouse is located in the centre of a very sleepy Spanish village. It has a small swimming pool and a shaded roof terrace overlooking the mountains and the Mediterranean Sea. It is an ideal place for holiday makers who want to experience real Spanish life with the convenience of small shops and local restaurants close by.

Interior

This inconspicuous townhouse is surprisingly spacious on the inside. The living room has two separate sitting areas with leather sofas. The dining room has a wrought iron fireplace and access to the pool area. The country style kitchen is accessed through western doors from the dining room and looks into the pool area. The townhouse has four bedrooms. One bedroom is what you could call a pool house, as it is not in the main building, but across the pool area. It has twin beds, an en-suite shower room and its own small dining table. The remaining three rooms are located in the main house on the top floor. The Master bedroom has a wrought iron four poster double bed and en-suite bathroom. Patio doors lead out to the balcony from where you can access the pool and the solarium. The other two bedrooms have twin beds and share a bathroom.

Exterior

Even though it is a townhouse you can still enjoy the luxury of having a pool. There is a roof terrace with a barbecue area, sun beds and a shaded sitting area. As this house is the tallest in Maro, it has beautiful views over the sea and towards the mountains.

Amenities

There is not much to do in Maro and that is exactly its charm. Next door to Casa Mario is a small local shop which sells some local produce and groceries. The central point of this sleepy village is the local church and a square which is shaded by a pergola and surrounded by Date palm trees. The old local people sit here to enjoy the view over the sea and the tranquillity of the moment. One kilometre down the cliff is a beautiful beach with a beach bar. Maro is on the border to the nature park and the sea here is crystal clear. There are more hidden beaches along the coast which can only be accessed by foot, walking down the usual steep cliffs. If all this sounds too secluded, do not worry the town of Nerja is only three kilometres away and offers a wide selection of restaurants and bars. The famous caves of Nerja are just 500 meters from Maro and in summer are host to the summer festival when classical concerts take place as well as famous artists such as Bebe Valdez from Buena Vista Social Club.

Services

For guests staying longer then two weeks, there is a mid weekly mini-clean with towel and linen change. A refundable security deposit of 100£ is required upon arrival.
