Villa Lucinda is set in beautiful and extensive grounds, in front of the exclusive courtyard restaurant and bar area of Monte Carvoeiro. It is a five minute walk to the delightful, fishing village of Carvoeiro, nestled between cliffs and facing the turquoise waters of the Atlantic. It has a sandy, cove beach and a good selection of bars, restaurants and cafes. The town of Lagoa is only a five minute drive and the varied sporting facilities in the area include world famous golf courses, boat excursions, tennis, horse riding and scuba diving.

Interior

This villa offers superb quality accommodation in very spacious and beautifully decorated surroundings. It has an elegant living room with a dining area, an exceptionally high ceiling and spectacular, galleried library overlooking the room. A wall of patio doors lead onto a large, covered terrace and provide views towards the sea. There is a modern and very well equipped kitchen. Villa Lucinda has two stylish bedrooms with fitted wardrobes. The master bedroom has a double, four-poster bed, patio doors to a terrace and an en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom has a double bed, patio doors to a terrace and an en-suite shower room. The villa has a guest cloakroom. The accommodation occupies most of a large, traditional, Algarve villa. There is a third bedroom on the topfloor of the property with a double bed and an en suite bathroom which is for the sole use of the owner but can be let by special agreement. Due to some low walls and steep steps the villa is not suitable for small children. Central heating is available for the cooler months and is extra and charged locally.

Exterior

The abundant, mature gardens and outdoor areas of this property are on several levels and are very picturesque. A huge, covered terrace wraps around the main reception rooms and has steps leading down to the garden and pool. It is decorated with comfortable furniture and provides a charming and cool place for relaxing. There are various open and shaded seating areas throughout the garden. A gazebo-style dining area and a barbecue, provide an idyllic setting for al fresco dining in the balmy Portuguese climate. The beautiful 8x4 meter swimming pool is entered by roman steps and is surrounded by a sun terrace and lawns.

Amenities

This lovely villa is situated in a beautiful and exclusive resort within walking distance of the fishing village of Carvoeiro and its sandy beach cove. It is situated next door to the exclusive courtyard restaurant and bar area of Monte Carvoeiro so some noise is to be expected, especially in the summer months. The cosmopolitan, village of Carvoeiro with a picturesque cove beach, bars and restaurants, offering traditional and international cuisine is a short drive away. Carvoeiro is particularly well known for its beaches, the rocky coastline has been eroded over time into a series of stunning sandy coves, breathtakingly beautiful but please access with care and sensible footwear. Many of the beaches also have snack bars for a drink or light lunch. Over to the west, where the calm waters of the River Arade meet the sea and separate Carvoeiro from Portimao is Ferragudo. Ferragudo is about 4km from Carvoeiro centre and one of the typical fishing villages in the Algarve which still retains its orginal charm. Here you will find one of the best beaches in the area, Praia Grande, with a couple of beach bars that overlook Portimao. This bustling town has a marina with a variety of excursions, including boat rentals, scuba-diving, jet-skiing, dolphin and whale spotting. There are tennis centres in Clube Carvoeiro and Rocha Brava and a riding centre and watersports at Ferragudo to the west. Waterparks are popular in the Algarve with the nearest being Slide and Splash, a smaller park between Lagoa and the Country Club. Several other parks are along the EN 125 heading towards Faro. Also worth a visit is the Zoo-Marine park with rides, animal shows and the opportunity to swim with dolphins, located just west of Guia on the EN 125. There are several boat trips available in the Carvoeiro area, exploring the fantastic coastline and stopping at exotic beaches. Perhaps the most memorable day out and under sail is aboard Santa Bernada - a replica caravelle, which departs from the old sardine pier in Portimao on weekdays.

Services

There is a mid week towel change and for guests staying longer than one week there is a weekly maid and linen change. The central heating, telephone and internet connection are all extra and payable locally.The swimming pool can be heated at an extra cost, please contact Premier Holidays for cost which is paid locally. For guests arriving after 10 p.m. there is a €25 charge to be paid locally.

A car is not considered essential but would be recommended to explore the Algarve and its many attractions.
