This outstandingly attractive, modern villa is conveniently located in the exclusive resort of Quinta do Gramacho. With spacious accommodation, sun-drenched gardens, terraces and a private swimming pool, it offers an idyllic location for a relaxing and memorable holiday. The enchanting, fishing village of Carvoeiro is a few minutes drive. It has a golden, sandy beach backed by the typical Algarve sandstone cliffs and an excellent selection of shops, restaurants and bars. For golfers there is a world class course, with excellent facilities is on the doorstep.

Interior

This beautifully designed, elegant villa offers spacious accommodation on two floors, with a connecting spiral staircase. The bright, stylish living room has two, comfortably furnished, seating areas, and is infused with light by a wall of patio doors. The adjacent, separate dining room also has patio doors leading out to the pool terrace. The villa has a double kitchen with a cosy, breakfast room and a modern, well-equipped kitchen, with access to a utility room. There is a separate guest cloakroom and toilet on this floor. Casa Da Paz has four very spacious bedrooms with large, fitted wardrobes and air-conditioning. There are two bedrooms on the ground floor, one with a double bed and an en-suite bathroom. The second has a double bed, patio doors leading to a small terrace and an en-suite bathroom. There are two bedrooms on the first floor. The master bedroom has a double bed with patio doors to the roof terrace and an en-suite bathroom. The fourth bedroom has a double bed with an en-suite shower room.

Exterior

The exterior of this property is particularly attractive, with patio doors leading onto a large terrace. It is covered at either end by extendable awnings, which provide welcome shade from the hot Portuguese sun. On one side there is an al fresco dining area with an adjacent barbecue and at the other, a comfortable, outdoor seating area. An extensive, sunbathing terrace surrounds the swimming pool, which is accessed by roman steps.The swimming pool can be heated at an additional cost. Casa Da Paz has a gated driveway and is enclosed by beautiful gardens, offering shaded areas, green lawns and views over the golf course.

Amenities

The sought-after resort of Quinta do Gramacho has a world class golf course and golf academy and is an excellent base from which to explore the Algarve.The cosmopolitan, village of Carvoeiro with a picturesque cove beach, bars and restaurants, offering traditional and international cuisine is a short drive away. Carvoeiro is particularly well known for its beaches, the rocky coastline has been eroded over time into a series of stunning sandy coves, breathtakingly beautiful but please access with care and sensible footwear. Many of the beaches also have snack bars for a drink or light lunch. Over to the west, where the calm waters of the River Arade meet the sea and separate Carvoeiro from Portimao is Ferragudo. Ferragudo is about 4km from Carvoeiro centre and one of the typical fishing villages in the Algarve which still retains its orginal charm. Here you will find one of the best beaches in the area, Praia Grande, with a couple of beach bars that overlook Portimao. This bustling town has a marina with a variety of excursions, including boat rentals, scuba-diving, jet-skiing, dolphin and whale spotting. There are tennis centres in Clube Carvoeiro and Rocha Brava and a riding centre and watersports at Ferragudo to the west. Waterparks are popular in the Algarve with the nearest being Slide and Splash, a smaller park between Lagoa and the Country Club. Several other parks are along the EN 125 heading towards Faro. Also worth a visit is the Zoo-Marine park with rides, animal shows and the opportunity to swim with dolphins, located just west of Guia on the EN 125. There are several boat trips available in the Carvoeiro area, exploring the fantastic coastline and stopping at exotic beaches. Perhaps the most memorable day out and under sail is aboard Santa Bernada - a replica caravelle, which departs from the old sardine pier in Portimao on weekdays.

Services

For this villa there is a maid service three times a week and a mid week towel change. For guests staying longer than one week there is also a weekly linen change.For guests arriving after 10 p.m. there is a €25 charge to be paid locally. Air conditioning is available during the months of May and September and is included in the villa cost between the dates of 6th June and 6th September. Outside of these months the air conditioning is extra and charged locally. Central under floor heating is available for the cooler months at an extra cost, also payable locally.

A car is recommended but not essential. The nearest supermarket requires a car but there are readily available taxis in the area.
